Abstract： Indoor positioning technology is an important research direction in the field of location service research， and it has a promising application prospect in daily life， business services， public security etc. This paper discusses the origin， classification and
the current mainstream of indoor positioning technology and introduces the positioning principles behind the indoor positioning technology， and exemplifies the application scenarios of indoor positioning and analyzes its future development trend.
